Search Facility User Guide

Welcome to the REC’s online Search Facility.

This electronic search engine is a comprehensively designed tool containing various documents on the issues of integrating environmental concerns into transport policies. Here you can find information on both general sustainable development and specific transport- and environment-related problems.

The Search Facility comprises data covering primarily CEE countries. However, it also includes selected documents related to other countries. The search database consists of legal acts related to transport and environmental policy integration, examples of best practices and ongoing projects in this area, academic and policy research publications on transport and integration, and links to various organisations, institutions and their projects.

We have tried to make it as easy as possible to use of the Search Facility. The documents in the database are grouped according to categories, e.g. Transport Impacts or Urban Transport. Some of the categories comprise a number of related sub-categories, e.g. the Sectoral Policy Integration category contains such sub-categories as Economic Instruments, Environmental Assessment, Integrated Urban Planning and Legal Measures.

You can also perform your free search by submitting keywords (e.g. traffic, vehicle, transport policy, best practice, etc.) to the Search field.

Our initial goal is to make the Search Facility a useful and user-friendly tool. Therefore, we would strongly appreciate any of your suggestions or comments on further improvement of the engine, and on the search page in general. We would be grateful to receive your messages at the following: Grazyna Krzywkowska, Project Manager, REC (grazyna@rec.org).
